Guide for Performing a Mid-Term Adjustment (MTA) for adding an additional driver

Step 1: Choose the insurance policy line that requires the change of vehicle.

Step 2: Access the policy section (P86).

Step 3: Press "Enter."

Step 4: Press "Enter."

Step 5: Press "Enter."

Step 6: Input the desired effective date for the address change and press "Enter."

Step 7: Confirm by pressing "Enter" on "Permanent MTA."

Step 8: Use the down arrow key once or press "A," followed by pressing "Enter."

Step 9: Press "Enter."

Step 10: Enter "5" and then press "Enter."

Step 11: Amend the driving restrictions as per the options provided by entering in the key letters e.g. IS = Insured and Spouse or ND = Named Drivers and then press “Enter”.

Step 12: Input the additional drivers Surname and press enter.

Step 13: Input the sex of the additional driver and then press enter.

Step 14: Input the additional driver’s Marital status and then press enter.

Step 15: Press enter past the Title section.

Step 16: input the additional driver’s first name and press enter.

Step 17: Enter past the Suffix section until you reach the date of birth section.

Step 18: Input the additional driver’s date of birth and press enter.

Step 19: Input Y for Yes or N for N if the additional driver was UK born and press enter. If you entered Y for Yes then, the Residence date will remain the same however, if you entered N for No then you will need to fill out the section where they were born and the date they came to the UK.

Step 20:  Input the licence type as per the options provided e.g. F for Full UK, P for Provisional and press enter.

Step 21: Input the licence pass date of the additional driver and press enter. The driving licence pass date can be located on the back of the driving licence plastic card under category B or B1.

Step 23: Ask the policy holder if the additional driver has any medical conditions that they need to disclose to the DVLA and then enter the response with either a Y for Yes or N for no and press enter.

Step 24: Ask the policy holder if the additional driver has EVER received any motoring convictions, points, or fines, including fixed penalties?
